When faced with weight constraints on an enclosed balcony on Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, the solution lay in our CemteQ lightweight concrete. Using recycled polystyrene allows us to repurpose a waste material as a lightweight aggregate for infill and leveling. We supplied our 600kg/m³ density preblended and bagged product to fill an existing enclosed balcony area at a thickness of 350mm This allowed for a new floor design without the costs and complications of an engineered floor support system.
