Another exciting project with W3O. Over a period of roughly 10 months, more than 17000m² of 100mm, 140mm and 200mm thick lightweight Q-blocks were supplied to W3O for infill walling in a new multi-floor student accommodation building in Woodstock, Cape Town. The building was designed with lightweight concrete walling to reduce weight and save costs on the superstructure. Specific attention was given to the Q-block finish as the walls were left unplastered and merely painted. CemteQ’s lightweight concrete Q-blocks are increasingly being chosen as lightweight, durable and energy-efficient walling material that is also environmentally sustainable.
