Embassy Towers – Sandton (lightweight perlite screeds-to-fall)

Embassy Towers Building

With densities of 20-25% of conventional screeds, lightweight perlite screeds-to-fall were required on balconies at the prestigious 12-story Embassy Towers project in Sandhurst, Sandton. CemteQ’s construction-grade perlite was used by Helm Construction to assist with waterproofing and keep weight down on balconies.

CemteQ’s PlasterteQ was also used as a fine filler screed in areas where thicknesses were no more than 15mm. This was mixed with Stanton Construction Chemical’s bonding liquid to ensure adhesion to the existing substrate and to prevent cracking.
