A total of nearly 200m3 of CemteQ’s construction-grade perlite was supplied to Babylonstoren agricultural university in the western Cape to increase thermal resistance on the roof slab. With a thermal conductivity of 0.09497 W/m.K, perlite is commonly used as a lightweight screed to insulate suspended slabs as well as to provide a slope-to-fall for water run-off.
